Pathways
It is incredibly important you familiarise yourself with the national curriculum, especially for the subject and the school phase you will be teaching. During interviews, it will be very likely that you will get asked what you think of the national curriculum, how can it be improved, or how you would teach a certain topic to a class.
Interview top-tips
If you have gotten to the interview stage, congratulations! In order to
make yourself as well-prepared and confident as possible, this link provides lots of
top-tips and interview questions for you to prepare.
The website ‘Get into Teaching’ has many incredibly resources, one
being a free adviser. This is very useful if you have questions about the teaching
routes, support with teaching application and interview preparation, and more.

Rosenshine’s Principles
The book ‘Rosenshine’s Principles in Action’ by Tom Sherrington is
included in most recommended/required reading in teacher training programmes.
Sherrington demonstrates how Rosenshine’s principles can be put into practice in the
classroom. This is a very good book as a trainee teacher and a fully qualified teacher
to find new ways of teaching that may be better suited to your class.
