Is ALSA UK just for Albanians?
When ALSA UK was first created it was for the Albanian community, however we have since expanded and even though most of our volunteers are Albanian, our services and events are for all.
What does ALSA UK stand for?
Nothing! It used to stand for Albanian Student Association UK, but we are so much more than that now.
Do I sign up for events if I'm a volunteer?
Yes, always sign up, even if you're volunteering or even speaking at that event. It helps us monitor numbers as venues have strict capacity rules.
Can I run my own project?
Yes! Once you have been part of ALSA UK for 6 months simply message Arisa your idea. Depending on the ALSA UK schedule and your prior experience and involvement, you will be supported to bring your idea to life!
Do I have to be a uni student to join?
No! We are super keen to recruit more volunteers who are between the ages of 16-18 and graduates too!
What if I need a break?
Thats completely understandable and to be expected. We understand you have other commitments in life, simply let your team lead know. If you're unsure who your team lead is let Arisa know.
Can I post about ALSA UK?
Yes! Especially linkedin, make sure you add your role to your profile. Sharing our posts on all social media platforms really helps.
What if I have any questions?
You can always message Arisa on slack, she will either answer your question or direct you to someone who can.
