About the event
There will be a panel of 4 speakers, all from legal backgrounds, to give tips, advice and insight into working in law, studying law and more! Join us over Zoom to network, gain exposure and learn about the legal world! If you’re a student at sixth form, interested in studying law at undergraduate level, or perhaps a non-law student interested in a different profession, this workshop is for you, no matter your background!
Meet our Law 101 Panel:
Anna Walsh - Barrister:
Anna is a family law barrister at Coram Chambers. Her expertise covers care proceedings, specialising in chronic neglect and matters involving medical issues, adoption cases and more. Prior to qualifying as a barrister, Anna worked as a nurse and also as a solicitor for local authorities in London and private firms, undertaking family advocacy work. Anna is also a qualified arbitrator.
Diana Syziu - Law Firm Partner:
Diana is a partner at Hill Dickinson LLP in the Corporate and Ship Finance team and is also a qualified notary public practising in London. She has worked as a solicitor for over 10 years and advises clients on a variety of non-contentious, corporate related matters, as well as providing corporate and commercial support in cross-jurisdiction related matters which take up the majority of her practice.
Brunilda Hoxhaj - Solicitor:
Brunilda is a solicitor who has just recently completed her training contract with Oliver and Hasani Solicitors. Her practice areas are Immigration & Asylum, in which she has accumulated experience in assisting in issues of human trafficking, torture, domestic abuse and more. Brunilda assists clients with EEA applications and appeals, and British nationality matters and applications based on private and family life.
Tara Asghari-Coliveri - Law Student:
Tara is a final year LLB Law student at the University of Essex. She is an aspiring barrister and hopes to complete the BPC following graduation and completion of her degree. Tara is passionate about the vulnerabilities of minority communities and the barriers to their access to legal aid.
