About the event

All too often women are shut down. Facing barriers to being heard, whether it is academic, professional or social situations, even when they bring experience, value and expertise to the table. Recognising these challenges and knowing how to navigate them is crucial.

EmpowerHER: In Theory, In Practice has been developed to identify the common barriers faced and offer practical strategies to overcoming them. Through engaging discussions and interactive exercises, we will explore key themes such as imposter syndrome, self-advocacy, and confidence in challenging situations.

Our aim with this event is to help you see what’s possible and inspire you to hold your ground.

This event features a fireside chat with Adelina Badivuku, who will provide insights into the ‘theory’ of standing up for yourself, followed by an interactive session led by Kristjana Nikolls, where attendees will put these principles into practice.
