Welcome

Hello and Welcome to ALSA UK!

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • Instagram

By now you’ve probably had your induction (or will have it soon) and will soon be a part of our Slack Channel.

I would first like to sincerely thank you. I am so so proud of ALSA UK but our work is only possible due to volunteers like yourself.

It’s important to me that ALSA UK not only remains a safe space for all our volunteers and members, but that our volunteers actually gain something from being a volunteer. Through your role you should be giving back to our community, but you should also be learning new skills and gaining experience that will enhance your CV. If you ever feel like that this is not happening please let me know so I can support you and your team lead.

Now that you are part of Slack you have access to the ALSA UK Matrix which should give you all the information you need. However, you can message Arisa on slack if you have any questions, concerns or worries.

As a new volunteer you should do the following as soon as you join Slack:

  • Message Erza on Slack to say hello so she knows you have joined successfully

  • Message Ardit Konjuhi on Slack to book in your Canva Training session

  • Familiarise yourself with the other documents on our ALSA UK Matrix

*ALSA UK is organised into teams, you are likely in the Content Creation Team and your team lead is Heidi. If you are unsure who your team lead is, you can ask Arisa.

Warm Wishes,

Arisa Reka

ALSA UK Chair and Welfare Officer
