If you’ve recently joined ALSA UK you are probably a member of the content creation team. Almost every single volunteer has been a part of this team at some point, and many still are!
Here is a quick guide to the team, but if you have any questions you can always message Megi and Heidi- Your lovely team leads.
The content creation team meets every month. Heidi will send a poll that the team will have to vote on…make sure you vote before the deadline!
Once a date and time is set the team will meet, when it’s time for the meeting simply open the slack app and a notification will appear encouraging you to join the meeting.
During the meeting Heidi will review all the posts everyone said they would complete at the last meeting and allocate the upcoming posts to all the volunteers. Come with ideas as this meeting is a great opportunity to brainstorm post ideas!

A post can be an instagram post, linkedIn post, blog post...as long as it meets the ALSA UK aims. Take a look at our socials to get an idea of what your next post could be.
After the meeting everyone will go ahead and start making their posts. When your post is done put it in the 'Ready To Be Posted' folder on canva and drop a message in the content creation channel to let your leads know.
You should aim to complete your post within 3 weeks, but if you need more time just let Heidi know when you expect your post.
Why am I in the content creation team?
All new volunteers are asked to spend around 6 months in the content creation team. This is because this is the most important team within ALSA UK - regardless of how amazing our events are, no one will know about them if our outreach isn’t on point!

Furthermore by spending time in the content creation team you will learn about the ALSA UK culture and rest of the team. If you are interested in getting involved in other activities within ALSA UK or even setting up your own project, these six months are your opportunity to show you are reliable and dependable.
